At APA Auto Parts, we are committed to providing you with high-quality Tesla parts and exceptional service. We understand that sometimes you may need to return a part, and we have designed our policy to be clear, fair, and straightforward.

General Returns (Non-Defective Parts)

This policy covers returns for parts that are no longer needed or were ordered by mistake.

  1. Return Window: You may initiate a return within 5 days from the date of purchase or delivery.
  2. Reporting Window for Damaged or Incorrect Parts: You must report any damaged-on-arrival or incorrect parts within 48 hours of receiving your order.
  3. Condition of Parts: To be eligible for a return, parts must be in new, unused, uninstalled, and resalable condition, complete with all original packaging and components.
  4. Refund Options: You have the choice of receiving a refund to your original payment method or as store credit.
  5. Restocking Fee: A 50% restocking fee is deducted from your refund amount.
  6. Non-Returnable Items: The following items cannot be returned: any part that has been installed, altered, or damaged; custom-painted body panels; installed structural parts; and installed parts with plastic clips.

Limited Warranty Policy

This policy covers parts that fail after installation due to a manufacturing defect.

  1. Warranty Period: Our parts are covered by a 180-day, unlimited mileage warranty starting from the original date of purchase.
  2. Warranty Coverage: This warranty covers any defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. It also covers verified fitment issues that prevent proper installation.
  3. Warranty Exclusions: This warranty is void if the part is damaged due to improper installation, misuse, neglect, or modification; involvement in an accident or collision; or use in racing or competitive applications. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, nor any labor costs associated with diagnosis, removal, or installation of parts.
  4. Warranty Remedy: If a part is confirmed to be defective within the warranty period, we will offer a replacement part, store credit, or a full refund for the original purchase price of the part.

Local Delivery & Returns (Los Angeles Area)

We are proud to offer our own delivery service in the LA area. This service has specific policies:

  1. At-the-Door Inspection: We encourage all local delivery customers to inspect parts upon delivery. If a part is visibly damaged or is not what you ordered, you have the right to refuse delivery at no cost.
  2. Local Return Pickups: To return an accepted part from a local delivery, a fuel charge for the pickup service and any applicable restocking fees will apply. Please contact us to schedule the pickup.
  3. Local Warranty Service: For approved warranty claims within our LA delivery zone, we will provide a complimentary pickup of the defective part and delivery of the replacement part.

Non-Local Warranty & Fitment Claims

  1. Non-Local Warranty Service: For warranty claims initiated by non-local customers, the returned part is subject to a test fit upon receipt. The customer will be instructed to mark the returned part prior to shipping; a refund will be issued once the test fit confirms a fitment issue.
  2. Fitment Claim Procedure: A fitment check is required upon return. Prior to returning the part, you must mark it with a unique identifier in liquid chalk, and you must cover return shipping. We will provide photos of the fitment check and our determination of the resolution upon the part's arrival.
  3. Our Resolution: If a defect or fitment issue is confirmed, we will cover all costs. For customers in the LA area, we will arrange a free pickup. For other customers, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label. We will then promptly ship the correct part or offer a full refund.

How to Start a Return or Warranty Claim

To ensure a smooth process, please follow these steps to initiate any return or warranty claim:

  1. Contact Us: Send an email to sales@apaautoparts.com.
  2. Provide Details: In your email, please include: Your full name and invoice number. The part number(s) and quantity you wish to return. A clear reason for the return (e.g., no longer needed, ordered wrong part, warranty defect). For warranty claims or damaged parts, please attach clear photos or a short video showing the defect or damage. Our team will review your request and reply with further instructions within one business day.

This policy is effective as of Dec 14, 2025, and is subject to change without notice. APA Auto Parts reserves the right to make the final decision on all return and warranty claims.
